We began working with Garden City Center in 2012 when we created and executed a media and community relations plan surrounding the redevelopment of Garden City Center, in Cranston, RI. Highlights of our work include:

Establishing and sustaining a buzz surrounding the Center as the vacancy rate increased and redevelopment plans were still in the beginning stages. We began with a kick-off event featuring renderings of what was to come, and the vision of the enhanced Garden City Center. All statewide media and local target media attended. This was the beginning of a sustained campaign that included news releases announcing each new store, building and renovation. It has garnered dozens of stories over the years and has continued into today.
In 2014 we developed a crisis communications plan that works in concert with GCC’s risk management plan. The six-step plan, includes three-levels of crisis response and includes scenario planning, pre-drafted statements, talking points, social media posts and explicit instructions that can be used at a moment’s notice.
We worked with the General Manager in support of Garden City Center’s successful proposal to have GCC designated a development district by the City of Cranston. This district gives GCC leasing flexibility without requiring zoning or council approvals and allows GCC to tap into different niches of the real estate market, including lodging and accommodations for people who want to live, work and play in their immediate area.
